Full description

Benagil cave, with its round opening in the roof and golden beach inside, is the image everyone recognises from the Algarve. This trip takes you there by RIB from Lagos, cruising east past Portimão, Ferragudo and Carvoeiro at speed.

At Benagil the skipper brings the boat to the cave entrance and around the smaller caves nearby. Since 2024, boats are not allowed to land on the beach inside Benagil cave, and the maritime authorities control access, so the skipper goes as close as the rules and the sea allow.
